The Sounds and the Fury

Swedish group The Sounds have released three solid, fun, synth pop albums over the last decade. A little punk, a little new wave, a lot of dance.

Just heard this mix of ‘Beatbox‘ by Hey Champ for the first time today but, between the cowbell and the funk-y bass line, I’m already pretty sold.

Also shiny and good are Disko Dali’s take on ‘No One Sleeps When I’m Awake‘ and Rex the Dog with ‘Tony the Beat.’

The beginning of this song makes me think New Young Pony Club (esp this song, Ice Cream: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yYAOUc7YBE)… which reminds me, they have new stuff out which I need to check out.
