Thunder Down Under

Sometime over the last decade electro-pop-rock advanced up to Australia’s third largest export (rough estimation). I have had Cut Copy, The Presets, and Empire of the Sun, all on some serious play-incessantly-on-repeat action at different times, and right now I am blown away by Pendulum.

With a catchy melody, a pulsing bass-line, and that slightly dramatic, epic, production style, Island is pretty darn sweet. Its made even sweeter with this simple music video that involves running, stumbling, catching oneself, finding inspiration in a shining beacon of light, and then running some more. In a full body spandex suit. Couldn’t have captured it better, guys.
